I hear IGN Spanish have it lower, have yet to check it out. Good points about having to manage your scouts. I'm guessing the reviewer's baseline for 4x games is something like Civ, as he opines that the city management is too simplistic and lacks variety, especially compared to the rest of the game, which he adores.įair point I suppose, although city management in PF is more complex than AoW3. With the introduction of the Tigran and Frostling races and the new Necromancer class, players must adapt to a world on the brink of cataclysmic change. Raises good points about the fixed research tree perhaps not to everyone's taste, and also communicating information about sectors. Eternal Lords is the major, second expansion for the acclaimed strategy game Age of Wonders III, marking one year of continuous development since its release. Some weirdo at explorminate reviewed the game: Make your hero an old and balding woman if you like. I say that because he even says he never read unit descriptions until much later!Īlso, reviewer complains about the bland Jack Gelder but evidently never realised that players can customise Gelder. Part of this though is the reviewer, imho, trying to rush the experience. I think most people on this forum will be ok with that, but the game is quite text heavy. He singles out the info dump from the tutorial. I think that's a legitimate point, arguably a weakness of the series. Main complaint is how the setting, lore etc lacks coherence in presentation. Reviewer seems to think this is an Xcom game and marked it down because it isn't as good at Xcom battles as.Xcom. Reviewer could have discussed in much more depth changes from AoW3, but that's why you have grognards like me. Minor issues accessing relevant information, e.g. I'm doing this via mobile, annoying to copy paste so reviews may not have links
